The Quiet America
As I prepare myself for immersion into another culture, I thought I'd reflect on my tiny insight into the American Deaf Culture and share a story. Nerdness
I might disappoint the Japanese I meet because I'm pretty geeky, though not quite wapanese...

Mission
I'm leaving for Japan soon, and I thought I'd start a blog to document my adventure in the land of the rising sun. I will attempt to share my small insights about Japanese culture and I guess as a result of the cultural juxtaposition, my own culture.
I hope to show my family and friends what it's like for me to live day to day as a gaijin [foreigner] in Japan. I hope this is a small way I can feel connected to my loved ones when I'm on the other side of the world. I will use this blog in conjunction with a Flickr account to share photos.
But to be honest, this blog will mostly be a way for me to remember my experience in Japan.
